Why we built EvalQ

Excel and email still sit at the heart of most award work. Comparison takes time, technical fit data is spread across TDS and MSDS attachments, and committees struggle to document and defend their decisions.

EvalQ was designed by procurement practitioners to turn unstructured supplier offers into clear, documented, auditable award decisions — through a local, bilingual platform focused on the award decision layer, not on building another ERP.

From a real problem to EvalQ

We sell confidence in procurement decisions — not features for their own sake.

The problem we lived

Award packages arrived through Excel, PDF, and email. Matching line items took long hours. TDS and MSDS data stayed buried in attachments, hard to extract and compare systematically. Committee presentation packs were rewritten and assembled by hand under deadline pressure.

Why Excel is no longer enough

Spreadsheets are flexible, but they are not an award governance system. Formula risk, version sprawl, and weak audit trails raise the chance of financial errors and compliance exposure — especially when offers, criteria, and evaluation team members multiply.

What we built

A Windows-local platform to prepare competition documents, automate supplier mail, match supplier offers with hybrid rules and on-device ML (human confirmed), analyse and compare TDS and MSDS data, run commercial evaluation and TCO, and produce documented award recommendations that committees can review and defend — in Arabic and English.

From practice to building the technology

EvalQ was built from procurement reality

EvalQ did not start as a technology idea. It started from the daily reality of procurement work.

For more than 12 years, EvalQ’s founder met the same challenge across buying cycles: supplier offers in different formats, technical data spread across files and attachments, commercial comparisons that consumed too much time, and a constant need to turn all of that into a clear, documented, reviewable award decision.

That is where EvalQ came from: using technology and AI to handle the complexity procurement teams face — without replacing the human expertise that leads the award decision.

Why EvalQ for Saudi Arabia and the GCC

EvalQ was shaped by how procurement teams in the Kingdom and the GCC actually work — where technical requirements, commercial evaluation, governance, and Arabic language meet in a single award decision.

Where EvalQ sits in the procurement stack

EvalQ does not replace your ERP; it adds a specialized layer for managing the competition, receiving offers, matching them, comparing them, evaluating them, and preparing the award decision.

ERP manages the enterprise’s transactions. EvalQ helps the procurement team decide the award.

EvalQ is

  • The decision layer for procurement awards
  • Guided RFX, intake, matching, evaluation, and award packs
  • Local-first Windows · Arabic and English

EvalQ is not

  • An ERP or finance system
  • A full P2P / Source-to-Pay suite
  • A supplier marketplace
